Simone R. Bray was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The daughter of public servants, she was instilled with a deep-rooted commitment to helping those in need from an early age.
Upon admission to the bar, Simone honed her skills at respected personal injury firms in Houston. She further demonstrated her dedication to justice by serving at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office, where she zealously advocated for indigent clients and gained invaluable trial experience. Simone’s expertise is recognized by her peers; she currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center, shaping the next generation of legal minds.
A leader in the legal community, Simone has served as President of the Houston Lawyers Association, Ambassador of the Houston Bar Association, and was named a Lawyers of Color Hot List Recipient. In 2024, she was selected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a prestigious honor reserved for the top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys. Simone is also an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Lawyers Association.
With extensive trial experience and a passion for justice, Simone approaches each case with meticulous care and unwavering dedication. Simone earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Southern University and A&M College before obtaining her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2017. During law school, she distinguished herself as a member of the Moot Court team, BLSA Mock Trial team, and as a Finalist in the UHLC Hippard Open competition. Simone also served as 2nd Vice President of the Black Law Students Association and clerked for the 164th Civil District Court of Harris County, Texas.
