This individual is responsible for conducting an honest investigation into the cause of collisions involving company vehicles in order to prevent re-occurrence. In this case, the company truck ran a stop sign and caused a collision.
You will see initial company paperwork writing up the driver saying that he “ran a stop sign.”
However, in the deposition, the Safety Representative decided to not be honest about what happened as well as the reason why he was not honest – because that’s their company policy!
