Matthew Clemens is a Houston trial lawyer committed to representing individuals and families harmed by the negligence of others. Matthew prepares every case with the goal of putting his clients in the best position to succeed, and he takes pride in fighting for the best possible result.
A native of Austin, Texas, Matthew went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas Tech University before receiving his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. Studying psychology sparked his interest in how people think, communicate, and respond to difficult situations. That interest has carried into his legal practice, where he believes understanding his clients and their experiences is an important part of representing them well. He was drawn to the law by a desire to help people navigate some of the most challenging circumstances of their lives and to hold individuals and companies accountable for their actions.
During law school, Matthew spent more than two years with the firm as a law clerk, gaining hands-on experience in personal injury litigation. He worked closely with the firm’s attorneys on developing cases, conducting legal research, forming arguments, and preparing clients for the litigation process. Matthew places a high priority on communication, making sure his clients understand what is happening in their cases and know that their concerns are being heard.
Outside the office, Matthew enjoys playing tennis, cooking, traveling, and cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
