# Traffic Time | Attorney Brian White Imagine all the things you could do if you had an extra 2 hours every week. According to a study by the [Texas](https://www.texas.gov/) A&M Transportation Institute, Houstonians spend 75 hours per year sitting in traffic, and this is only based on congested roads, not accidents. Despite the fact that the 2017 reported data was captured during off-peak hours, it’s still not looking good for Houston, which took the #7 spot on the worst traffic cities in the US. 1.San Francisco-Oakland: 103 hr/year 2. Washington, DC: 102 hr/year 3. New York-Newark: 92 hr/year 4. Boston: 80 hr/year 5. Seattle: 78 hr/year 6. Atlanta: 77 hr/year 7. Houston: 75 hr/year 8. Chicago: 73 hr/year 9. Miami: 69 hr/year **What’s the Damage?** What is this idle traffic time costing?  According to the report, sitting in traffic costs an extra $1010 her person, per year. It all boils down to 2 very important things- time and money! The institute says there is not much that can be done to remedy this situation, but there is a solution when you find yourself injured in a car wreck – you can always count on Attorney Brian White.
